Communities
Part of the Visionradio Innovations activities is exploring ways in which we
can bring greater benefits to communities through easy to use services, relevant
content and
simple
interactivity.
The easy2™ system has been developed to allow publishing of internet content from a single source across multiple devices. The first community system developed on this platform is Access Andover.
Access Andover has been launched in 2006. It uses the easy2™ system to manage our clients' data in a single location, allowing registered users to enter and edit their own information through a web browser.
The Andover reference site demonstrates community engagement across all 3 key cornerstones that serve residents, namely local businesses, voluntary organisations and public services.
To see the PC and TV variants please click on the links below, bearing in mind the TV variant is designed for viewing on TV and your PC browser may render differently:
PC: http://andover.easy2.net
TV: http://andover.easy2.tv
The information is then prepared for presentation to either standard PCs or internet connected TVs. Publishing rules are applied to ensure the optimum experience on either platform.

We believe community engagement relies not only on ease and convenience of access, but equally important is relevant content. The Access Andover initiative seeks to address the needs of local residents as well as the local businesses, voluntary organisations and public services that support them.
The services are centred around this concept. Broadly these are under four principal categories, namely Entertainment, Information, Communication and Retail.
Entertainment covers events and activities relating to going out in the local area, as well as audio and visual entertainment for those staying in. Local businesses and public services have the opportunity to promote their messages alongside these channels, making them easier to reach.
The example shown below is the "Visionradio FM Internet radio station" interface for the TV. It incorporates the advertising messages, with the full page accessible by pressing "0" on the remote control. The advert can be viewed without interrupting the music.

Working with the proprietors of the local music venues, Visionradio will offer bands who play, or that are based locally, to promote their music on Visionradio FM - thereby improving the relevance of content.
